For years, Pamela’s British family and friends were captivated by the tastes and smells of the oriental food she prepared, and were fascinated by watching her cook and impressed by how easy she made it look. Pamela eventually set up ChenMoore Chopsticks to share her knowledge, skills and enthusiasm for oriental food, to empower and encourage others to “Bring people together with good, wholesome food”. Her dream is to change the world, one meal at a time!
Pamela runs classes in Cheltenham, but she also travels the country working with food festivals and holds guest chef days in other cookery schools, including Waitrose and the award winning Bertinet Kitchen Cookery School. In addition, ChenMoore Chopsticks’ own ‘Five Spice Club’ offers recipes and tips videos to members for easy-to-access online learning to a wider audience.
ChenMoore Chopsticks went international earlier this year, when Pamela took a guest speaker spot for two weeks on Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 in the Far East, giving lectures and cookery demonstrations. Two recipes from Pamela’s book ‘Chopsticks On Tour’ were also included in QM2’s Britannia Restaurant menu.
